Amber Torrealba – Pro Model Skimboard

Amber Torrealba is a world champion skimboarder, raised and born on the east coast in Melbourne, Florida, and currently living in Laguna Beach, California. Since 17, she has skimboarding.

She came into the light when she participated in the 2014 women’s professional skimboarding division. Since then, she has been competing in the world championships events and has added many feathers in her cap.

She is not only a professional skimboarder but also a creative content creator. Amber is actively involved in creating videos, campaigns and content for many brands in action sports, technology, and for the environment.

She has directed and edited content for companies like Red Bull and Panasonic, and is an ambassador for Adobe.

From Business to Skimboarding

Amber Torrealba didn’t always have the time in ocean or on a surfboard and skimboard. The Palm Bay, Florida native was first obsessed with skateboarding, but that gave love to basketball and track throughout her high school years.

At the age of 17, she chose skimboarding, while finishing a varsity basketball career, and she would then get her bachelors degree at UCF while balancing the trials and rigors of running her own skateboarding brand.

Acquiring her degree didn’t send Amber on a crash course with sports stardom, either. University life offered a corporate approach- she turned to a corporate store general manager, setting her action sports career to the side.

She continued managing a million-dollar Radio Shack Store for 5 years, and then started her own marketing company before living off of skimboarding and filmmaking full-time.
